Here's a few pictures of the restoration project done at Oregon State Hospital. The sculpture on top of the wall is made solely of stainless steel rods welded together in a random pattern, dispersed perfectly to give the effect of it fading out. The wall itself is also stainless steel, and inside the wall are urns of the various patients to have passed away at the hospital over the years. When a family member picks up an urn of a loved one, a brass tube is inserted in it's place. This tube picks up the sunrise and sunset, and light reflects into the courtyard. Some day, when all of the urns have been claimed, the courtyard will be comletely full of light. This particular project was a great opportunity to be a part of.
